Tughra is a symbol or signature that includes the sultan's name and epithet. Tughra is a branch of calligraphy that has been written by master calligraphers for centuries. In Turkish, it means a special sign containing the sultan's name, a signature of the sultan. The original word 'tughra' in the Oghuz dialect is 'tughra', which means the printed signature of the sultan. The first tughra used by Orhan Gazi consists of the expression 'Orhan bin Osman' and the first of the tughras is dated 1324 and 1348.
